A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I was born in Louisiana, but I grew up in Texas most of my life. I'd say I'm pretty laid back with a vibrant personality. Photography has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember.

The earliest photo of me with a camera in my hands! I was about two here! Circa 1989.

When I was a kiddo, back before technology became what it is today, I would save my money to buy disposable cameras and then head out to shoot everything I deemed worthy of capturing.

When I was a senior in Highschool I got a Canon SD400 for Christmas. My first digital camera! I instantly went to clicking and figuring out what all it could do. soon I knew every single thing it could do. Just a few months later in the Spring; I did some Highschool Senior photos for a couple of my friends. That was the moment I realized I was HOOKED.

A couple years later I had saved up enough to get a real DSLR and got a Canon XTi on my 20th Birthday. Then, I learned all the things it could do, too. Which totally means I am a self-taught gal! Not long after I found out I was pregnant and life was forever changed!

One of my favorites from the day my daughter was born. I wish I would have known "Birth photography" was a thing back then! Circa 2009

It was only less than two years later I was blessed with a beautiful babygirl who became my inspiration. It seemed as though had all the time in the world to photograph this tiny little human and boy did I! I've really taken the opportunity to hone in on my skills and learn how to photograph infancy and childhood while documenting her life. She is a full blown teenager now and I cherish the photos of yesteryear while looking forward to capturing the rest of her life. She is the reason I am where I am today. She will always be my reason.

In 2010 at the age of 22; only less than a year after I had my daughter; I lost my Mama in a motorcycle accident. She was 46. It really opened my eyes even more to how precious photos truly are. After she passed, I wanted to get my hands on every. single. photo. that I could find of my sweet Mama. It didn't matter what the photograph consisted of, whether it was blurry or not, I wanted it. Knowing that I just couldn't be alone in this, I threw my heart and soul into wanting to document everyone elses moments in life. I think everyone should take the chance to save the memories that seem to fade. I love how I can look at a photo and somehow can remember everything from that moment and even other moments surrounding that timeframe. Just by seeing it! Photographs are such a gift and should not be taken for granted or put off until tomorrow. Whether its documenting new life, growing life, everyday life, or a lifetime of love, its worth documenting.

My Sweet Mama and me circa 1988. She was my biggest supporter and always encouraged me to pursue my passion. I have never given up because of her.

I began my journey to where I am today with a mind full of curiosity and a desire to inspire others to cherish photographs as much I do. If you let me, I will treat your photographs as if they were my own to cherish. Lets make some magic and document your life. You will be SO glad you did!
